Biography:
Want a preview of what the next generation will bring, especially to competitive surfing? Just have a look at Dillon Perillo, the new addition to the DC surf team. With such a small elite crew, getting on the exclusive squad is a pretty big step.
Dillon, who’s 18 and calls Malibu, California his hometown, has been making a strong impression on the NSSA circuit over the last few years, notably taking first in the 2006’s Open Juniors division. Strong finishes earned him the early hype as the best kid in the country, and it’s hype he’s lived up to. Combine those abilities with a big-ol’ competitive drive… the guy simply wants to break records, NSSA and beyond. Trophies aside, he’s earned a spot in his local pecking order as well as at spots worldwide with his hyper speed, gouging turns, and tail-free snaps. You can bet on it: we’ll being seeing more of Dillon very, very soon.
