Last weekend DC surf team am Dillon Perillo chalked up his best World Qualifying Series finish so far by taking 2nd at the 2-star Vans El Ponto Loco, held at Ponto in Carlsbad, CA.
Dillon surfed great throughout. He posted the highest heat total of the event (an 18.25 out of a possible 20 point score). He just got edged out at the end of the finals, slotting him in a solid 2nd place.
"This is the best result I've ever had," Dillon said. "This feels better than winning at [NSSA] Nationals and I'm stoked to have made the final."
